What I'd like to do with this blog is write something new every week. My weekly schedule is pretty much the same everytime and If I wrote only about the things that were happening there would be little to write and it would not come very often. If you guys have any idea's or tips for finding new and interesting things to write about please message me and let me know! For now I will write a little about the past week.
Besides work and not being able to attend BJJ because of shoulder pains, nothing terribly exciting happened during the week. I spent a bit of time trying to advertise a small LAN that was happening in my area at the local LAN cafe. Though I sent out many invited I only got a few replies and only one friend had enough interest in spending money to stay up all night playing video games. During the week I created a group on facebook and have a few members, and will be working on getting it to grow.
Last night was the LAN. This was my first time really spending any time to play at this center, and I immediately realised a few things. It was not designed for even semi-hardcore FPS gamers (as far as having a larger amount of space for the keyboard and mouse, so you still had plenty of room to move the mouse around), and the list of games on the site needs to be updated because many of the games listed were not on the computers. After about half an hour at the place I realised that most of these kids were not going to stop playing WoW, and the ones who weren't playing it, were content to play different games that I have never heard off. I realised that I would need to work hard to bring in more than one person that I know and secure more of the 16 available computers so we could have more organised gameplay vs. each other. Looking back I could have checked out the games I wasn't familiar with and interacted with them more but I was content to play some call of duty 2 with my friend. Only a few hours in I could feel the urge for quake, and I found they had quake 2. My friend and I played that for awhile but we eventually got a little bored and tired and spent some time watching shows on the internet and sleeping a bit.
In the morning it was quake 2 deliciousness, with me beating him every match first to ten. He was getting the hang of it though and grabbed quite a few nice frags with the railgun, which quickly became his favorite weapon. He would grab a nice railshot or I would hit him in the face with a rocket and we'd look over at each other, just grinning ;D. I could tell he was enjoying it and he was pretty excited about the game afterwards. Another friend came in who I had just linked to quakelive yesterday and he was talking about how much fun he was having playing it, so I may have snagged my first two 'recruits' for quakelive!
In a few weeks there is another all nighter at the LAN center and Im going to try to get more people to attend. Hopefully I'll be able to use that, and the LAN event my youth group is having to help promote the love for games and gaming even more!
Thanks for reading and again if you have any writing tips please let me know!

Cool story bro.
Wish there was still a LAN center around my area, sadly it went out of business and had to close. Now it's an office supply store.
As for writing tips, really I can't think that anyone would be able to tell you how to write a blog, it's pretty much how you wanna write your own, everyone is different =)

A blog isn't about fancy grammar and stuff, it's about telling your story. Proper grammar does make it easier to read of course, but it is fine like it is now.

Is English your foremost language? If not, might wanna read up on it, =P
It's not that big of a deal to be honest. I can understand your writing perfectly, even though the grammar and spelling isn't perfect.

Tips: anything you do you can write about if it's remotely interesting. If you see a movie, do a review. If you see someting in nature that is similar to Quake, well there ya go. It's endless. Doesn't have to be gaming related here, but that's up to you. If you play a diff game, you can write about it. Or about the first time you played anything.

Whats the LAN center at? I see you are in Baltimore, I'm in DC and wouldn't mind venturing to Balt once in a while for a few solid hours of Quake on LAN
